“If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?” (Matt 12:26NIV)
What is responsible for the success that Satan and his demons are recording in destroying lives and homes every day and all over the world? It is unity of purpose. That means there is no controversy between Satan and his demons in ruining mankind and the world we live in. Their common aim, their common goal is to destroy us. And they are all devoted to working together to accomplish this.
Therefore, if they want to ruin any home, the first thing they will attack in that home is its unity. Why? They know that once they can destroy the unity of a home, the battle is almost won. And they will not stop attacking the unity of our homes, as long as the opportunity to do so presents itself.
We, then, must always be on our guard, so that these evil beings will have no room to destroy our unity and afterwards our homes. You can now see why Paul says to the church of God: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Eph 4:3NIV)
Why do we need to make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in our various Christian assemblies? It is because Satan and his demons are also continually making every effort to attack our unity and cause our assemblies to become divided along various lines. They know that as long as we are divided and do not agree, we cannot make much progress in spiritual growth and spiritual usefulness. We, then, are the ones that must not give them any room to work in our churches. And may we all be strengthened to daily function accordingly, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a blessed day.
